The overlap is invisible
Two bottles can list the same nutrient. Neither label shows the sum. Without a combined total, that overlap stays hidden.
Supplement and peptide log
VitaSum® adds up the supplements you log and shows that total next to the daily goal and the upper limit for your country, gender, and life stage. You choose a timeframe, then email or download a PDF.

Several products can share one nutrient. Each label lists its own serving. The overlap shows up only when those servings are added together.

The panel on the bottle is the amount in that serving, not the day across everything on the shelf.
A clinician can account for supplements they have been told about. A PDF is one way to hand over the log you already kept.
Reminders tell you a dose is due. They never log it for you. On TODAY, one tap logs everything still due. You can skip a dose or add another serving.
Scan a barcode, search by name, or photograph the label. If the barcode is missing or the match is the wrong bottle, correct an amount or request the product. You can log from what you entered while that request is reviewed.
VitaSum® adds the servings you logged. On a paid plan, open a nutrient and see each product in that total. Free shows the combined total. The daily goal, the upper limit, and the per-product breakdown are on a paid plan.
Yellow is under the daily goal. Green is at the goal. Purple is above the goal and still under the upper limit. Red is only when a total is at or over the limit. A total under the limit is not marked as approaching it.
Pick a day, 7 days, 30 days, 3 months, 6 months, or a custom range up to about six months. VitaSum® builds a PDF. You email it or download it. Reports that cover more than one day use average daily intake. Consumer PDFs are watermarked. Family and Professional PDFs are clean. Professional also exports a FHIR R4 bundle for an EHR workflow.
Ask from your own log. “Which of my products contribute to my magnesium total?” Answer: Product A, 200 mg. Product B, 220 mg. Combined, 420 mg. Ask VitaSum® names what you logged. It does not decide whether that total is right for you.
Each member has their own account, shelf, and log. The admin does not absorb that data. You and the member each choose Off, View, or Manage. You can open their record only at the lower of those two choices, and access stays closed until both sides allow it. View can look at the shelf, log, and nutrients. Manage can also log, edit, and share a report for them. Either person can turn it off.
Peptides and transdermal products sit on separate lists from vitamins, with their own schedules and a record of where you got each one and the route you report. VitaSum® does not suggest a dose. A catalog entry is not a statement about safety, effectiveness, or legal status. On the Professional plan, patient-reported research compounds can be included in the FHIR export.
A daily goal is not a personal prescription. VitaSum® is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.

Scan a barcode, search, or photograph the label. If the barcode is missing, or the match is not the bottle in your hand, correct the label or request the product.
A reminder tells you a dose is due. It does not log the dose. You still decide what was taken.
Log all due today records everything still due. Mark anything you skipped, or add another serving. The nutrient total follows that log.

A paid-plan daily summary names the daily goal and the upper limit separately. Red is only for a total at or over the limit. Tap zinc to see which products made that total.

A report starts when you pick a period: a day, 7 days, 30 days, 3 months, 6 months, or a custom range up to about six months. Multi-day reports use average daily intake. You email the PDF or download it.

Example log for a US man, age 71 or older. Daily goals are NIH Recommended Dietary Allowances or Adequate Intakes. Upper limits are NIH tolerable upper intake levels. Vitamin D’s goal here is 20 mcg (800 IU). For ages 19–70 the NIH goal is 15 mcg (600 IU), and the same 2,400 IU would be 400% of that goal.
Calcium, magnesium, and potassium goals include food, so a supplement total below that goal is not marked low. Magnesium still turns red when the supplement total is at or over its upper limit.
These figures describe the log. A daily goal is not a personal prescription. VitaSum® is not a medical device.
The daily goal and the upper limit follow the country, gender, and life stage on the profile. That is the reference set behind the PDF.
A US label’s Daily Value is not the same number as every NIH goal. The preview above uses the NIH figures for the profile it names. A daily goal describes that reference table. It is not a personal prescription, and VitaSum® is not a medical device.

Four inputs. Nothing here is a count of users or a count of products in a catalog.
Nutrient amounts start from the product label on file. If a barcode is missing or an amount is wrong, you can correct the label or request the product.
The daily goal and the upper limit come from the table for your country, gender, and life stage. Where a national table is not loaded, the comparison uses WHO/FAO.
Totals add the servings you entered. A reminder does not log a dose. A report that covers more than one day uses average daily intake.
You email the PDF to an address you enter, or you download it. VitaSum® does not pick the recipient.
Practical reads on supplement stacks, nutrient totals, and sharing clearer information with your healthcare provider.
VitaSum adds up what you log, compares it with the reference for your country and life stage, and leaves the decision with you and your clinician.

Read all 100 answersVitaSum® is a supplement and peptide log for iPhone and Android. You add products by scanning a barcode, searching, or photographing the label. It adds your logged servings into daily totals, compares them with the daily goal and upper limit for your country, gender, and life stage, and builds a PDF you can email or download. It is not a medical device.
Add the vitamin D listed on each product's label, multiplied by the servings you actually take. A tracker does this for you: you log each product, and it adds the vitamin D across all of them into one daily total. VitaSum® shows that combined total, and on a paid plan it shows which products contributed and how the total compares with the NIH daily goal and upper limit.
Yes. Each label shows only its own serving, so the same nutrient from a multivitamin, a single supplement, and a fortified product can add up past an upper limit without any one label showing it. The only way to see it is to add the servings together. VitaSum® totals each nutrient across everything you log and marks a total at or over the upper limit. It describes your log, so ask your clinician what it means for you.
Make a list with each product's name, the amount per serving, and how often you take it. A PDF from a tracker does this cleanly. VitaSum® builds a PDF for a period you choose, and you can email it or download it.
